Behind the Scenes: My Podcast Feature on All the B’s

I had the incredible opportunity to be featured on the All the B’s podcast hosted by my colleague Dr. Katerina Gallus and her dynamic scrub tech Brianna Lempe. This podcast combines a lighthearted look at pop culture with the serious, sometimes snarky, but always insightful world of aesthetics and plastic surgery. If you’ve ever wanted a BFF who’s a female plastic surgeon—one who keeps it real about the latest trends, procedures, and celebrity gossip—this podcast is for you.

In this episode, we covered a lot of ground! From my journey to joining the amazing team at Restore SD Plastic Surgery in La Jolla to the procedures I’m most passionate about, we dove deep into what makes me tick as a facial plastic surgeon.

Highlights from the Episode:

  • My Favorite Procedure
I revealed my "ride-or-die" procedure and why I’m so passionate about it. Spoiler: It’s all about bringing harmony to the face and restoring confidence in my patients.

  • One Nose Does Not Fit All
We discussed the importance of personalized results in rhinoplasty. Giving everyone the same nose is not the goal, and I shared my approach to celebrating individuality and enhancing natural beauty.

  • My South Korean Roots and Aesthetic Inspiration
Growing up with South Korean heritage instilled in me a deep appreciation for aesthetics and balance. I talked about how these cultural influences shaped my love for facial harmony and symmetry.

  • The Truth About Marijuana and Surgery
Did you know marijuana can impact wound healing? We broke down the science and why it’s crucial to be transparent with your surgeon about cannabis use.

  • Who’s a Candidate for a Lip Lift?
Not everyone is suited for this trending procedure. We covered the key factors that make someone a good candidate and how it can be a game-changer for the right patient.

  • Pop Culture and Aesthetics
From the buzz around Nessa Barrett’s ski slope rhinoplasty to the rise of the veneer trend, we tackled the latest celebrity beauty stories. We also touched on Demi Moore’s iconic (but overdone) look, Madonna’s patchy eye phase, and Jocelyn Wildenstein’s legacy in the aesthetics world.

  • The Future of Aesthetics
Wellness and regenerative medicine are paving the way for exciting advancements in aesthetics. I shared my predictions for where the field is headed and how it’s becoming more holistic and patient-focused.
